June 2026 Heavy Rainfall Event – Reporting Property Damage

The RM of East St. Paul understands that the heavy rainfall experienced in June 2026 may have caused damage to some properties within our community.

If your property was affected, we encourage you to contact your insurance provider to review your coverage and discuss any potential claims.

The Province of Manitoba has established a Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) program for this event. To assist both the RM and the Province in understanding the extent of the damage, we ask that residents report any storm-related property damage to the Municipal Office as soon as possible.

When reporting damage, please provide the following information:

  • Whether the impacted property is a private residence, farm, business, or non-profit organization.
  • The type of damage sustained (e.g. interior damage, exterior damage, cleanup costs, damaged property, etc.).
  • The cause of the damage (e.g. sewer backup, overland flooding, drainage issues, etc.).
  • An estimate of the damage, if known.
  • Photos of the damage, if available.

Collecting this information helps the RM assess the overall impact of the storm and provide accurate information to the Province of Manitoba.

If you have experienced damage or have questions regarding the reporting process, please email administration@eaststpaul.com.
