As electric bike and scooter use continues to grow in our community, the RM of East St. Paul would like to remind all trail and pathway users to operate safely and respectfully. Our pathways are shared spaces used by pedestrians, cyclists, runners, families, seniors, and children.

Please remember:

• Slow down when approaching pedestrians, children, pets, or other cyclists;
• Use a bell or verbal warning when passing others;
• Keep speeds reasonable for trail conditions and pathway traffic;
• Stay to the right except when passing;
• Be aware of your surroundings and leave plenty of space when passing others; and
• Wear a helmet and follow general trail etiquette.

Courtesy and common sense go a long way toward keeping our trails safe and enjoyable for everyone.
