Lake Friendly was founded and continues to be run by eight communities on the shores of Lake Winnipeg, with the express goal of providing resources to improve water quality, manage water quantity, and help communities respond to flooding. They live with the impacts of our contributions to water quality and quantity, good and bad.
Their website and programs offer clear, science-based knowledge on the condition of Lake Winnipeg and the lands which drain into it.
Also provided are clear, simple ways that everyone can help prevent the degradation of water quality in our and their communities.
