What do I need to do for a...
- New Home Construction
Permit
- Complete an application form
- 3 sets of engineer stamped plans
- Digital copy of plans (At Planning Services Managers discretion)
- Status of Title (At Planning Services Managers discretion)
- Lot Grading Plan if one does not already exist (At Planning Services Managers discretion)
- A site plan
- Meets Zoning Setback Restrictions
- Pay a service application fee (payable before permit is approved)
- Pay a permit fee based on construction type/size/value
- Conditional Requirements
- Developer Approval in certain developments
- Geotechnical Report if property is along river
- Manitoba Highways approval if along provincial highway
- Detached Garages, Sheds and other Accessory Structure Permits
- *Structures that are less then 107.64 sq. ft. in size do not require permits*
- Complete Application, including square footage
- Site plan showing where on your property the building will be located, with distance to property lines and existing structures
- Structural and Foundation Plans
- Status of Title (At Planning Services Managers discretion)
- Meet Restrictions

- RR(Rural Residential): 800 sq.ft.

- Design, type, and content of the sign
- Department of Highways approval if within 125 m of provincial highway
- Owners approval if leasing land
- Site Plan showing sign's location on property including measurements to property lines
- Application fee
- Swimming Pool and Hot Tub Permits
- Complete Application with value of pool or hot tub
- A Permit is required for anything that holds more then 2 ft of water
- Site Plan Showing where the pool and fence is or will be built
- Status of Title
- Meet Restrictions
- Minimum Setbacks
- No closer then 4.92ft to any side or rear yard property line - Must be enclosed by a Fence
- Must be enclosed by a non-climbable fence with a minimum height of 5 ft and a maximum of 6.56ft. This must be accompanied with a self closing lockable gate.
- Fence is not necessary if pool or hot tub is enclosed by a deck where a minimum of 5ft from the ground to the top rail of the deck
